"Tavalita" Cake


She's getting ready leaf thus: mix the whole egg with the powdered sugar, add the milk, melted butter and melted honey, then add the white flour and baking powder. Mix everything and put the dough in a tray lined with baking paper and give to oven until baked. Make the test with the toothpick. When it is ready, take it out and let it cool, then cut it into cubes.

Make the sauce: In a saucepan, melt the butter, add the powdered sugar, milk and cocoa and mix until you get a sauce. Remove from the heat and pass the cake cubes through the sauce, then pass through the coconut.


Ingredients Tablet cake

100 gr butter (or margarine) at temp. room
300 gr sugar
1 or
1 sachet of baking powder
2-3 tablespoons of honey
400 gr flour
300 ml milk

20 gr butter
200 gr sugar
50 gr cocoa
8 tablespoons milk
80 ml rom

Preparation Tablet cake

  1. For the countertop: rub the butter with the sugar until it becomes frothy. Add the egg and after it is incorporated, add the baking powder and honey. Then add half of the flour and half of the milk and when it is completely homogenized, add the rest of the flour and milk and mix again.
  2. Put the above dough in a 20 x 30 cm pan greased with butter and bake at 180C for about 30 minutes. Check with a toothpick to make the top, when the toothpick comes out clean it's ok.
  3. While the countertop is baking, we do it glaze: mix in a small pot all the ingredients for the icing until the cocoa is completely dissolved. Put the pot on the fire and simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly, about 1 minute after the contents start to foam on top. Take the icing off the heat and let it cool completely. If you taste it now, the taste of rum will seem a bit intense, but that's the way it should be, in the end you won't feel it enough.
  4. When the worktop is done, we turn it over from the tray on the work table and leave it to cool. Then we cut it into cubes.
    * in the picture the top is overturned that's why it's so reddish, above it should be only slightly yellow-brown
  5. We put the rooster in a bowl, but not all at once, but in trances, when you finish one trance add another.
  6. Pass the cubes through the glaze, take them out with a fork and hold them up a little to drain the excess glaze from them, then throw them in the coconut and roll them until they are completely covered. Place the rolled cubes on a baking sheet, at a distance from each other. We leave them for 2-3 hours at temp. room, until the icing dries, then put them in a closed box and keep them in the refrigerator.

Add the flour, and at the end the baking soda quenched with vinegar or lemon juice.

Put the composition in a tray of 25 & # 21535 cm.

Place in the preheated oven until it starts to brown.
Allow to cool.

Cut into cubes of equal size.

Glaze
Put the ingredients for the icing in a saucepan and heat on the fire until smooth. Set aside to cool.

assembling
Take a cube and pass it through the chocolate icing.

Roll through the coconut.

Do the same with the rest of the cubes.

Rolled cake with walnuts and coconut & # 8211 Lamington

Rolled cake with walnuts and coconut, a simple and tasty childhood recipe, also called Lamington .. It is made with fluffy pandispan top, cocoa syrup and rum, all rolled well with fried and ground walnuts or grated coconut. A delight!

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C (proper heat).

For the countertop, mix mineral water with sugar, honey and oil. Sift the flour together with the baking powder, salt and baking soda and add, stirring vigorously, with a whisk or mixer, in the liquid composition. Incorporate yogurt or soy or coconut milk and mix everything very well. A cake-like dough is obtained, which is poured into a tray of approx. 20 x 30cm. greased and sprinkled with flour or lined with baking paper. Bake the cake for 25 minutes, then lower the temperature in the oven to 165 degrees C (low heat) and leave for approx. Ten minutes. Allow to cool to room temperature. Cut the cooled strip into strips, then into cubes (neither too small nor too large):

For the cocoa icing, put water, sugar, margarine and cocoa in a saucepan and bring to a boil over low heat, letting it boil for approx. 10 minutes from the first boil. You get a cocoa syrup that is left to cool (does not cool completely!). The top cubes are passed through the glaze, then rolled in coconut:

It is placed on a plate on one level:

If you have the patience to let them sit for at least an hour, you will enjoy the tastiest & # 8220tavalita & # 8221 fasting cake.
